Cons
I’ve worked in startups before and am very familiar with the environment—constant change, evolving processes, and the need to be a self-starter. Those challenges are expected and, in many cases, manageable. That said, my experience at Charlie Health went beyond the typical growing pains of a startup. While some level of ambiguity is normal, I found the overall environment to be more challenging than expected, and it ultimately took a toll on my well-being. For a company operating in the mental health space, I had hoped for stronger alignment between its mission and internal culture. In my experience, there were gaps in leadership, support, and consistency that made it difficult to thrive. I would encourage prospective employees to carefully review feedback from others and consider whether this environment aligns with what they’re looking for.
