Pros

Charlie Health has been a place i've been able to grow as a leader. I've been met with a lot of challenges, pivots and changes; however we are able to support and help nearly 300 people within my team alone. This is a place where you're going to feel like you're making an impact and making a difference in the lives of others. There is a strong culture of sharing and camaraderie; which was surprising for a virtual-first company. I've had a lot of opportunities for professional development and a lot of autonomy of how I support my team once I was settled into the role. The flexibility with a remote work setting is great and I generally find my working hours can be flexible. My team is amazing and I wouldn't trade any of them for the world. Being able to work with folks with various expertise has made me a better clinician and supervisor. Management wants to listen here, but they can't hear you if you're quiet or pretend that everything is fine ; speak up and share. I was primed to that when I started and it's been true for the most part. Generous Paid time off, flexibility with life needs, multiple levels of health care coverage,

Cons

This is a place that you need to speak up for your needs and set limits. Given it's fast paced and nationwide; there can frequently be a lot of asks outside of working hours because well, the ship doesn't stop sailing. I've found at times there is a sense of reactivity to criticism, so things can pivot quickly due to squeaky wheels; partly this is start-up culture. When I first started things were a lot more loose, so def the type of environment to have some tolerance for risk but i will say that risk is worth the reward of helping others. The company is growing out of start up so there is some shakiness to be expected with processes, policies and procedures, breakdowns in communication happen as a result of incomplete workflows. I've seen that generally those who are very organized, detailed focused, and self starters succeed the most in roles here, so this isn't going to be an environment for everyone. The only real con is I believe. my pay is below the rest of the industry but other benefits make up for it.

Pros

-Lots of training opportunities -Can choose your own hours (within what group times they have available) -Lots of encouragement and ideas for how to run the groups themselves better -An opportunity for yoga professionals to offer their services in a clinical setting -The company felt way more collaborative and human when I started 2.5 years ago.

Cons

-No opportunity for pay increase or upward mobility as a group facilitator -An AI bot grades you on how you are doing your job, and if you aren't preforming well you are automatically signed up for "coaching" which involves lots of extra meetings to improve skills (regardless if you are already competent at the skill being taught). You aren't actually assessed for what is resulting in these poor metrics by a human, it seems. Even if you are 1% under their target number you get downgraded into the bottom tier of group facilitators. I had an AI bot in my session for literally 1 minute before a client requested it be removed. For that 1 minute the bot was in the session it graded me poorly and affected my metrics negatively. -Every time you talk to a supervisor (GQS) it feels like you are talking to an overly enthusiastic AI bot. It seems like they have scripted responses for any question you have, and the responses don't actually solve any problems and there is nothing you can do about the flaws in the system other than deal with their consequences and capped hours. -I rarely interact with other group facilitators. -My supervisor gets changed so often I don't have time to really connect with them or get to know the team I'm on.
