Pros

Okay experience and pay. Trying it's best to become more tech focused. Pretty good work life balance across the board from what I've seen. Could be a great place to settle at the end of your career depending on your situation.

Cons

Still not even near a traditional big N tech firm despite trying to become more tech focused. So much bureaucracy. Slow pace can be frustrating if you're young or ambitious. Experiences vary DRASTICALLY between teams so vet that as much as possible. High to C-level people in management moving/leaving has lead to constantly changing top-level priorities, which in turn can lead to greenfield projects that are dated or no longer aligned with firm goals within months of development work.

Pros

-location & team are important. I had an amazing team and location. Rare, but amazing for making money when aligned. -you can learn the financial industry -reputable company, great CEO -you are highly compensated to win over affluent families banking/wealth/lending relationships.

Cons

-we have 5 managers and each of them get replaced bi-annually. -The management hired does not know anything about finance, yet tasked to manage financial professionals. Zero standards for recruitment. Imagine this: An accounting firm is looking for a new accountant. The manager goes out and hires 5 "accountants" but not a single one of them is a CPA. You think, "how could this happen?" That's JPMC for you. -HIGH PRESSURE SALES TACTICS.***
