Pros

As a company (1) Overall excellent company and excellent brand recognition (2) Excellent top level leadership, who clearly have demonstrated what they are doing time and again (3) Solid leadership pipeline (4) Effectively able to leverage scale economies, superior cross-selling opportunity means continued future growth and fortress balance sheet For people (5) Pretty good benefits (still, after years of cutbacks) and flexibility (6) Excellent learning opportunity (7) Sheer scale provides mobility opportunity especially globally

Cons

(1) Scale means VERY bureaucratic. Critical decisions is built by consensus by the chain, across the chain which leads to inefficiencies (2) Insufficiency leads up cost pressures which leads up to "nickel & dime" decision as well as staff reductions to maintain margin $ (3) Increased load on some employees (4) Generally not innovative. Most employees are "clockers" - come in, move some papers, leave. (5) Certainly the next Apple

Pros

-location & team are important. I had an amazing team and location. Rare, but amazing for making money when aligned. -you can learn the financial industry -reputable company, great CEO -you are highly compensated to win over affluent families banking/wealth/lending relationships.

Cons

-we have 5 managers and each of them get replaced bi-annually. -The management hired does not know anything about finance, yet tasked to manage financial professionals. Zero standards for recruitment. Imagine this: An accounting firm is looking for a new accountant. The manager goes out and hires 5 "accountants" but not a single one of them is a CPA. You think, "how could this happen?" That's JPMC for you. -HIGH PRESSURE SALES TACTICS.***
