Pros

Awesome people at the team level.

Cons

Senior leadership and the CEO are completely out of touch with the realities of the day to day operations required to keep clients happy and the money flowing. Turnover is high and most employees who were around for the previous CEO and founder have been pushed out, forced to retire, or have left. Good people are being burned out at the middle level as numerous new duties are added to their responsibilities. Plenty of bloat with newly hired managing directors that fail to add value or contribute meaningfully to the bottom line. There is no company culture and very little opportunity for growth or upward mobility. The re-org is messy and ineffective. CEO might have vision, but it’s not clear to the employee/shareholders what the vision is, and many think he is only looking out for number one. There is a real fear that another round of downsizing is in the future as jobs may be moved overseas or replaced by tech. Sadly, Mike Bontrager’s legacy has been hijacked by an authoritarian who either ignores those who disagree or forces them out.

Pros

There is a lot of investment in new technologies, especially AI. As AI continues to evolve, Chatham is investing in employees by giving us opportunities to learn and use these tools so we can stay ahead of the curve and be leaders in the industry. That's a huge plus. The people here are also unmatched. I've worked at other companies, and I can honestly say this is the best culture I've been a part of. The team is supportive, collaborative, and genuinely cares about each other's success.

Cons

I would not change a thing,

Pros

One of the best parts about working at this company is the opportunity to learn across different functions and gain exposure to a wide range of projects. The environment allows employees to develop both technical and professional skills quickly, especially through collaboration with experienced team members. I also appreciate the fast-paced culture, which encourages growth, adaptability, and problem-solving. The experience has helped me better understand operations, teamwork, and how different parts of the business work together.

Cons

One challenge of working at the company is that there can sometimes be a heavy amount of operational and repetitive work, which may limit opportunities to focus on more strategic or analytical projects. In certain situations, processes and responsibilities could be better organized to improve efficiency and reduce unnecessary workload. Communication between teams can also occasionally be unclear, leading to duplicated efforts or delays. Improving workflow structure could help employees be more productive and engaged.
