Pros
Decent benefits, amazing mission that drives most employees, solid product compared to competition
Cons
Checkr has changed a lot in the last year and ironically gotten worse after a company goal was implemented to make it the best place to work. It is probably the most hierarchical company I’ve ever worked for and ICs, managers, directors have zero control over their business - every decision is made in a vacuum by the CEO and maybe other C Staff members. There is no path to career growth and they put that decision back on ICs to “figure out what they want their path to be.” Pay has gotten less competitive too and they refuse to keep up with current rates and inflation. Unfortunately turnover is at a high and Checkr is bleeding good people, and doesn’t seem to care to stop it.
