Pros

Interesting, inspiring people. Opportunities to travel. Downtown DC

Cons

Lip service paid to work/life balance--make no mistake: everything is about winning USAID bids and with the new RBU structure, it's getting more and more intense. People are stressed and the wrong people are being put into new business roles. The company claims a high retention rate, but I don't know how they calculate it. Good people are leaving in droves. Competitors have poached some real superstars. People who are well-connected get put on key NB roles on bids we're highly likely to win--and then when we do, they get the massive bonuses, while someone who got stuck with a sure-loser gets nothing but grey hairs. It's expanded hugely in the past few years, largely because of Afghanistan projects. This will not continue.

Pros

Truly a great company to work for, they care so much about work/life balance. Everyone is kind and they are like family.

Cons

It can be hard working from home because you never see your coworkers and sometimes you lose that momentum.

Pros

Clear company structure, processes, and tools. Professional development funds available. Easy-to-use and high-quality benefits. Pay is fair for the work.

Cons

"Company is family" mentality, sanitized rather than straightforward communications from executives, poor training, unclear standards of success, vague professional growth guidance and no clear paths towards becoming the ideal professional at this company.
