Pros
I like the technical areas Chemonics works. Systems are bad and can make work very painful. Great for meeting likeminded people and delivering programming that you care about.
Cons
Long hours are standard. The isn't a clear pipeline for progress within the company if you aren't in programme management. The corporate culture is confusing and political. Many senior people seem to be hired for roles they shouldn't and can't do. These individuals typically don't have any experience in the area they lead they were offered the role because they led a programme way back when.
