Pros
- Ability to get experience in any technical area one is interested in. Folks can be a project manager, write proposals, conduct agricultural value chain technical work, and get in-depth in-house training to specialize in a particular contractual area. This is a major pro not available at most other companies. - Diverse, educated, internationally savvy colleagues.
Cons
- The company sometimes uses the culture of being able to be involved in all aspects of business and professional development to squeeze employees for all they are worth. Pay is ok, but workload expectations are unlike any other company I have worked at. - Can be clicky, including at senior levels where some SVPs pick favorites and keep promoting them favoring loud posturing over quiet efficiency. - Pay and benefits are very average and nothing to write home about, particularly the retirement through the ESOP, which feels like a bit of a trick as most employees will likely not see these funds.
