Pros

Collaboration, Communication, Cooperation abound. Respect for primary care, and proactive planning for your wellness as a physician. Relationships, working in teams, improving outcomes of patients, learning to be an outcomes based physician and leaving RVUs behind, meaning and purpose in the work- bigger than you, working with terrific doctors, working with underserved populations, opportunities for learning, advancement and growth in your career. Fortune magazine rated ChenMed as one of the companies transforming the world in October 2020.

Cons

Requires dedication and commitment, engagement and accountability. This is not a place to punch a clock- but to make a difference- so it requires the right mindset to work at ChenMed.

Pros

The pay is competitive, however the workload is very heavy. The company does put emphasis on a positive culture, but the teams are in constant fear of lay off, or being let go due to unrealistic productivity expectations

Cons

Bonuses are cancelled, changes are too often, everything is always a priority. The productivity expectations are unrealistic. The other thing is favoritism and nepotism, you will never advance if you are not friendly with certain people. It is very evident that the focus is not on talent when promotions are available.
