Mission is exceptional, seniors get great care at Chen Med. They truly do care about the population they serve.

Cons

PCP's are treated with much more respect than Directors. HR turns a blind eye to racist comments from certain PCP, and ignores staff's complaints. Retaliation will occur if you go to HR about a doctor. Corporate needs to know what is truly going on in Philadelphia, they are losing amazing talent due to the ignorance of several doctors. It is such a toxic environment, and quite frankly they treat high level directors like assistants.

Micromanagement at its finest. Providers don’t have the authority to do what is best for patients. I have worked in prisons and it is easier to get patients care they need there than it is working for Chenmed. They have you recite this saying every morning. Something about how their goal is to give their patients “more good days.” It’s all a load of crap. Their goal is to give the CEO and the Chen family more money and more good days. They think you can see these complex patients in 5 minutes. “Just have them come back every day,” they say as if that’s not taxing for an elderly person. Just stay away from this place and keep your loved ones away too.
