Pros

jenCare/ChenMed is very mission driven. The purpose is to take great care of our seniors, we talk about it everyday. It is very outcomes driven and relationships. It is hard work, and very rewarding. You bonus on outcomes (how well you are taking care of patients).

Cons

Good healthcare is hard work and it is important to make sure to take care of staff too. JenCare has really been paying more attention to this. It is very person dependent, there has been a lot more attention to make sure everyone has appropriate training and investing in their future, which I appreciate. Make sure healthcare and seniors are your passion, otherwise people may feel overwhelmed.

Pros

The pay is competitive, however the workload is very heavy. The company does put emphasis on a positive culture, but the teams are in constant fear of lay off, or being let go due to unrealistic productivity expectations

Cons

Bonuses are cancelled, changes are too often, everything is always a priority. The productivity expectations are unrealistic. The other thing is favoritism and nepotism, you will never advance if you are not friendly with certain people. It is very evident that the focus is not on talent when promotions are available.
