Pros

Independence and that's really all.

Cons

You WILL work over your scheduled hours, charting is a pain, they will expect you to chart at night, on the weekends, etc. They will not help with combative patients and will not help with pretty much anything in the field. Management sits around and gossips while you work your butt off to see 8-9 patients a day, chart when you get home, and call offices for orders, med changes, etc. The QA team has gotten out of hand with the requirements for charting and a single chart can take 45 minutes just to get it up to QA standards.

Thank you for your feedback. Our clinicians work on a points system for patient visits that takes into consideration the travel time between patients & documentation time so that it can all be done within an 8 hour day. If there is a day that a nurse sees 8-9 patients in one day, it is likely due to moving their schedule around from another day. We have recently added a Nurse Educator to our team that can help with difficult patients when other clinicians are not available in the area to assist. The Nurse Educator can also help with time management skills for those having trouble with charting up to QA standards. Pros

great hours, approachable and knowledgeable supervisors, relaxed atmosphere, low office drama, everyone helps each other and encourages one another, everyone helps each other succeed and cheers each other on towards our goals both personal and professional, everyone makes an effort to get along, excellent support network/support staff, nice bonuses for reaching goals.

Cons

lower than expected pay, no overtime available, would like higher rate of pto/comp time, offices can sometimes be noisy interfering with focus/concentration, no cars provided for office staff, more office space needed/ larger meeting rooms needed.
