Pros

Pension 401K - matching Flexible work schedule (9/80) Depending on annual performance, possible annual bonus + raise Generous emergency/family care days

Cons

Difficult to obtain promotions - I've been here 20+ years and have yet to receive a promote, even after meeting key deliverables on an annual basis. Long workdays to entertain offshore employee & contractor work hours - We all have early days and long nights, extra daily standup meetings to try to accommodate Most teams utilize agile methodology - Even daily routine work/maintenance/operations utilizes agile. Not everything works in an agile / kanban framework. Confusing organization - We don't report to our supervisors, we report to Product Owners. Supervisors are only 'in charge' of our career growth. How can our supervisors keep up, when they're managing separate 25+ career paths? Maybe that's why it's difficult to obtain a promotion? Ever evolving roles - we should do what our titles say we do. Instead we're wearing multiple hats and conducting extra work outside our typical scope. High employee attrition, low employee retention, low IT pay compared to the IT industry

Pros

Working with an amazing team who cares about your work-life balance and gives flexibility if emergencies arise. The pay is also very good.

Cons

The commute to the office is very difficult and having to come into work 4 days a week. Also, you have to pay for parking and there are no vouchers. They also have layoffs and downsizing on a regular basis so it is very nerve wrecking.
