Pros
I'm surprised to see so many negative comments about working at Chewy.com. Maybe I'm having a different experience than a lot of people, but I'm really bringing the bad reviews down to negativity. Since I was hired about a year ago I've had nothing but great experiences with this job. I left a higher level position at an elite billion dollar company to come work here, and I've never regretted it since. I guess it's different strokes for different folks. But here's some pros about Chewy.com that are real, from someone who isn't at the top of the pole, more like at the bottom. Great compensation: the pay rate is much higher than anything else around for an entry level position. Awesome benefits: this mostly applies for just health coverage for yourself, I don't have a family so I cannot comment on that. Great atmosphere: Positivity! Positivity! Positivity! You can't help but be happy walking to your desk, this place oozes positive vibes as long as you open your mind to pick up on them! Fun management team: I've never had one issue with any of our management teams here, they're understanding, kind, and they work just as hard as you do. Plentiful overtime: I've never worked somewhere before that has so much overtime for the taking! As long as your attendance is good they're happy to give you whatever you need as long as you catch the weekly overtime emails. Room to grow: lots of companies say this, but at Chewy it seems every two weeks there's a new position opening up with more pay that you can apply for. Endless potential, and even if you don't get the position the first time, don't worry! There's another one coming up the week after next! This job is what you make of it, just like any other job. If you let the negativity get to you, you won't see anything but a negative job and bad experiences.
Cons
Nothing really to note, this job is what you make of it. If you come in on time, work hard, and be polite and friendly then you'll see your growth faster than someone who's always late, doesn't do their best and has a bad attitude. Keep it Chewy, keep it fun!
