Pros

- Management has started making attempts to change the situation for the better - Hybrid work model - Perks: lunch, wellness reimbursement, etc.

Cons

The individuals in positions of authority lack substantial experience, despite their attempts to attract talented individuals. However, the core issue persists. Even with a workforce capable of delivering high-quality software, those in charge lack a comprehensive understanding of what needs to be developed. The process of establishing a clear direction is agonizingly slow, causing the company to operate sluggishly. This problem can be attributed to the complete lack of vision and understanding within the technology management chain regarding the current state of the company's technology and how it should be implemented. Numerous individuals were hired during a period when the hiring standards were embarrassingly low, and now they are simply coasting along. This is effortless to accomplish since there are no deadlines, feedback mechanisms, or assessments of work quality. As long as it appears that work is being done, it is deemed satisfactory. The actual quality of the delivered output holds no significance; it is merely a binary distinction of completion or non-completion. Once again, this is largely due to the fact that most individuals here have not encountered truly high-quality software. In summary: - There is a complete absence of career growth opportunities. There is no one available to evaluate and acknowledge your efforts, rendering them seemingly pointless. - The opportunity for learning and development is nonexistent. This aligns with the previously mentioned lack of career growth, as there are no avenues for growth due to the absence of proper assessments and recognition.

Pros

High-potential, high-caliber, low-ego environment. The people at the firm really embody the broader culture of the business. There is a cohesive plan that flows from the board level down to the day-to-day work each employee does. There is also a conscious effort to develop talent, which I really appreciate.

Cons

it's a culture led firm so by nature not a fit for everyone.
