Pros
The work the organization does for children is something to be proud of. At the end of the day no matter how bad your daily work experience has been, you feel better knowing that in some way your work helped a child in need.
Cons
There is a huge disconnect between teams, managers, and etc. People are more worried about self preservation than doing the right thing. Many of the employees have been with Children's for many years...but this is not a plus. They are very behind the times in the way they conduct day to day business, they more concerned about their employment and preserving it than doing what is right, and they tend only work well with people of the exact same mind set as them. This is not the place for fresh new ideas. Either fit in and go with the statuesque (no matter right or wrong) or look for a new job. Most of your time employed with Children's will be an up hill fight so be prepared.
