Good benefits, great hours, chance to make good money if you are a good cold caller or have good contacts that are traders. Established brokers make 200K plus easy. But these are brokers who have been in the industry and have good contacts. Shoot for options or NYMEX desk.
Cons
No guidance, sink or swim as a broker. You must get in there, cold call or have established trader contacts. The basis market is very thin right now. A lot of brokers, traders are getting less and less because of government regulation, low price of natural gas, no volatility, consolidation of companies, and companies that are not trading basis.
