Pros
ChowNow is by far one of the best places I have worked. The culture is great, and everyone is extremely helpful. It's also one of the most diverse tech companies I've worked at, which is great to see. Pay is fair. The work is very mission-driven!
Cons
The CEO is not as friendly or as present as I would expect a startup CEO to be. Even at companies five times the size of ChowNow we'd get nice check-ins and inspirational, long-term vision type speeches that let us know how the business was doing, how the CEO was doing personally, and how we could best help him out or forward the goals of the company. ChowNow does not offer any of this kind of exciting, future-thinking leadership from the CEO. Mostly we hear from him when things are going poorly, which does not inspire trust or confidence.
