Pros

The original founders seem to be good people at their core (but aren’t really involved at all anymore). The company mission is also honorable.

Cons

There are market-related issues (product, pricing) externally that have been hurting the company badly, but what's ultimately been killing ChowNow is the apathy and blissful ignorance internally. The company has been in "set it and forget it" mode for years and no one has embodied that more than the "leadership" team. There is a consolidation of individuals who seem to have duped the executive team into believing the company's problems stem from reps' efforts in the field instead of taking real accountability for their own strategic failures/shortcomings and owning it properly. They have been doing this to protect their own positions and continue the charade that they've actually affected positive change - they haven't. The reality is this group has been out to lunch, golfing, globetrotting, etc instead of joining reps to see what's actually been happening in-market. Maybe the bigger problems come from the executives/board above them, or maybe the company is about to be acquired for pennies on the dollar. But don't be fooled - just about everyone in a position of power has thrown in the towel and hasn't done anything of significance other than maintain their paychecks however they can (this often means layoffs out of the blue). Proceed with extreme caution if you're entertaining an offer here going into 2025 and pay close attention to the example these "leaders" are setting - don't try to go above and beyond unless they've earned it from you. Otherwise, you'll be left shaking your head.

Pros

Coworkers are good people and teams try their best despite the chaos. Remote work.

Cons

Poor executive leadership, constantly changing priorities and restructuring, lack of direction, low morale, reactive decision making, and executives who are out of touch with what the business actually needs.
