Christie's Collectrium- Stay far away! - Collectrium Christie's Employee Review

Pros

Work across the street from the auction house.

Cons

A lot of turnover at Collectrium due to inept management who has no idea how to do their jobs. They also do not have any knowledge of the art world whatsoever. Human Resources at Christie's is no help whatsoever, though I believe new hires come through them. Be wary of the job description if you apply and ask someone who works there what they do day to day before coming onboard. I was hired to catalogue objects in clients' homes but the reality is that I was working with spreadsheets and taking computer support calls. The Collectrium product itself constantly breaks down and disappoints clients so be prepared to handle a lot of frustrated people. Stay away and wait for something better because this is not the art job that you are looking for.
