Pros

Exposure to art masterpieces, many colleagues are dedicated and knowledgable.

Cons

There are employees working extreme hours for fear of losing their jobs. Several layoffs have occurred in the past year. Employees are often times belittled, verbally abused and threatened by managers - and are afraid to say anything. If you are looking for a high-stress job with little room for growth, this is for you.

Thank you for highlighting Christie's staff as dedicated and knowledgeable - we do believe that our staff demonstrate deep knowledge, passion and expertise for their given category. We take any forms of abuse very seriously, as we aim to have a culture where all employees feel valued and appreciated. If you would like to take this further, please do contact your HR Manager and we will make sure that this issue is dealt with seriously. It is also a shame to see that you feel there is little room for growth, we do encourage to promote from within and expose our employee's to various global opportunities - we do have a great track record of this. However, we have identified a need for more structure and have recently created a career path framework. Thanks for your comments, Christie's HR, London
