Positive. Incredibly high learning curve, intensely demanding, stressful, but stimulating and fascinating - Junior Specialist Christie's Employee Review

Pros

Access to art, intimate knowledge of how the art world works, constant opportunities to build art expertise and hone client service skills

Cons

Stress. New hires on the specialist track (I.e. cataloguers) should be prepared for 70+ hour weeks during deadline, which is biannual and can last for months at a time.
