Pros
Company is stable with Brands that are popular. Benefits are decent, comparable to other CPG companies. Good work life balance Work from home opportunites- not just because of COVID There are some very nice people working in the company
Cons
The company is very understaffed in some departments- it "runs lean". Extremely heavy on meetings, many of which are not productive, or not everyone invited has to be in- and the meetings create work. There are so many meetings that there is not a lot of time to do your actual hands-on work. Many meetings that are weekly could be less frequent with email communications in between meetings on a topic . Sometimes an email is sufficient you don't need a meeting for everything. Lack of normal communication, just call someone and talk- not everything has to be a meeting with spreadsheets. You will hear "this is the way we've always done it" when asking why something is done a certain way. Not a lot of openness to doing something differently. Training is lacking . Cross functional team members do little knowledge/history sharing with newer employees and then want to know why they don't know things. There are definitely departments who are thought of as more important or valuable than others which is definitely de-motivating for those people not in the "important" departments Just about every senior management person is a male, most of them white. It's more like 1985 than almost 2022 in that respect.
