Pros

The worldwide reputation CCHMC has for providing excellent care for children. CCHMC provides the only colorectal center in the world for children with anorectal malformations. The clinical collaboration with other departments within CCHMC is excellent. The physicians stay on top of all research in their areas. Information systems are wonderful-you call one number to get any kind of help you need for any of the software applications that you use on a daily basis to make your job easier. Communication is wonderful. I have never had anyone tell me they don't know how to help me. If they don't know the answer they are able to get me to the person who can help me.

Cons

Parking-employees are shuttled from off site parking facility 2-3 miles away from the hospital. Nurses and physicians park at base along with other clinical folks as well as any handicapped employees. Most business folks park off site which adds 30 to 45 minutes to their day. That is alot of time week after week, month after month, year after year. Although parking is provided and employees do not have to pay for parking as they would at other companies it is still a large problem. I know the leadership is doing the best they can considering how much CCHMC has grown over the past few years but it is still a concern.
