Pros

Reasonable benefits package Insurance is not too expensive. Cost did not go up this past year. The company makes money and is profitable. Cintas stock continues to be on the up rise and shareholders are happy.

Cons

Serious "class" system in the Corporate office in Mason, OH. Poor time off benefit for salaried partners. Partners have to work an entire year before they earn a day off. In order to get a day off before then, they have to take it without pay or take comp time. If you have a good department and manager, then you will probably do fine. COO pitches a fit if you cross your arms while you are in a meeting. He is personally offended if you cross your arms or clasp your hands because he thinks it is disrespectful. He will call you out on it. Insane corporate policies. Cannot eat lunch at your desk. Cups must always have a lid. Cannot sit in your car to eat your lunch or take a call. To read and understand all of the Corporate policies would take all of your time. Company pushes partners to contribute to their pet projects. Company does support good projects like Clothe the Kids and Matt 25 ministries, but to ask partners to contribute to these creates a hardship. Many Distribution Center partners need public assistance to get by. Distribution Center Purchase orders have to be written by hand. Yes, I did say by hand.

Pros

The Commission is great. You can make good money in this place.

Cons

While the pay is good, the culture here is not. It is incredibly restrictive. It is very much a “Do what I want you to do, how I want you to do it, and when I want you to do it” management style. They constantly remind you of how much money you can make there which gets annoying after a while. The service team and the sales team are constantly at odds. Not just Cintas, but the industry in general is very sleazy, much like a car dealership. They screw over their smaller customers with enormous year over year price increases. I know a particular salesperson who is having a lot of success their who has no problem lying to his customers, and never answering their calls when the problems come. As long as he keeps the deals coming Cintas does not care. Corporate greed is on full display at Cintas. The Management Development program for college graduates seems like a great opportunity. If you are a young college graduate and you get the opportunity, I would recommend that.
