Pros
- Well-known and financially-stable company with a solid professional reputation. - Always busy; plenty of work to do. - Set schedule (once you clock out, you're done). - Plenty of opportunities for holiday pay and overtime.
Cons
- Low pay (in this economy, especially after so many years). - No real chance of promotion/upward mobility in the department. - Division is riddled with problems and inefficiencies. - HIGH turnover in the division (fire protection). - Like any company: favoritism is king, so kiss-up as much as you can. - Division is the newest one, so it's the lowest on the company ladder, so in the contact center, you're the lowest on the lowest ladder of the lowest division in the company. - Countless pointless trainings for functions of the company that you're not responsible for. - Unending emails that you'll be copied on from everybody within the division for things you don't have anything to do with.
