Pros

The regular customers Meet knew people

Cons

Circle K should be ashamed of how they treat employees! They keep poor people poor. They give each store a weekly allotment of how many hours you are granted to try and cover each shift. They pile work on you and expect for you to get it done. They want you to go above and beyond for them yet they cut hours plus do not pay a livable wage. They cut employee hours during Christmas!! They didn’t even give anyone at least a turkey. But they sure were open. It’s truly a burn out job. There is no reward for hard work. They claim a work life balance but it’s a lie. Very high turn over rate. Constantly piling up lessons with pop quizzes. Can’t do them at work because you’re alone. Stopped doing them at home off of the clock. My time is precious

Cons

Massive company. I worked a couple different roles from the “corporate” side, even if I was in stores a lot of the time. One thing I learned is that the “office” or “corporate” roles don’t really have a day off. Sure, it’s a Monday-Friday job but it’s like regardless of what you do there, you’re on call in some way but there isn’t any sort of incentive in return. You’re likely not going to get a sufficient work-life balance working here, because, again, someone is going to be calling or emailing you on the weekend or in the evening where either you have to handle it, or pass it onto someone else who can. Lack of thorough vetting has resulted in unqualified leadership with challenging management styles that hurt daily team morale.
