Pros

The countless many talented technicians, performers, and onsite staff are, as always, the heart and soul of the productions and spaces.

Cons

Like a headless corpse forcefully coaxed into rigid movement with electrical stimulation, Cirque du Soleil is made up of some of the finest talent the world has to offer, squandered and abused by leadership whose lack of relevant experience is overshadowed only by the either ineptitude or disdain with which they (just barely) do their jobs. The festering blight of executives and administrators manage the impressive feat of dragging down the immensely talented crews and casts of resident shows with stagnant wages, zero job growth, disinterested, absent leadership, and no regard for the health or well-being of the teams who make these shows happen. It's a miracle the many neglected safety concerns haven't caused more severe injuries than the ones that have already happened, but it's an inexcusable trend that many technicians' bodies break down due to repeat stress and minor injuries, which would be easily preventable had Cirque's computer chair warmer admins not fired entire levels of department leads, leaving most techs to fend for themselves - it sure shows. Cirque is losing talent to their competition who outpace the paltry wages and (once again) impressively incapable corporate management, whose expertise ends at Zoom calls and fluff posts on LinkedIn. By the way, company surveys went out recently, and after employees gave the suits a glimpse of the dissatisfaction growing within the company, all the managers who were supposed to be at the next company meeting to speak with workers directly mysteriously lost their resolve and bailed, leaving one person to take the fall. Unbridled cowardice! Clearly the Cirque leadership team would rather be babysitting an investment portfolio than doing any of the actual work required to show up for their crews.

Pros

For the most part, they still have excellent production values.

Cons

Workforce has become stretched thin, limited mobility and growth, especially compared to what it used to be.

Pros

You get to work in theatre

Cons

Just received annual raise. Was told CDS stresses this is *not* a cost of living increase, it is just a raise, and that the company cannot keep up with inflation in regards to our pay
