Pros
Pay is good and I am bonus eligible. Work/life balance is also good.
Cons
Work from home is a thing that is not going away. They have pushed the back to work plan every month since June. If you like working from home, Cisco is the place for you. Everything peripheral to the business is social justice oriented. Again, if that's your thing, Cisco is the place for you. You cant buy a notepad in the company store without being hit over the head about how part of the proceeds go to a social justice initiative. I'd rather my workplace be apolitical. Little to no training. There is very much a, "Welcome to Cisco, here is a list of names of people who you might need to know. Figure it out. But feel free to ask questions.", attitude that is being addressed, but it's still a thing. I've been here for a year now and I haven't even had a performance review. So, if I'm doing a good job, I don't know it. If I'm not, I don't know it. And if either of those things are the case, I don't know how to keep doing well or how to do better. I'm still figuring it out.
