I worked at Citco Luxembourg and it was an incredibly toxic environment during my tenure. The toxicity primarily emanated from my manager and a colleague. One of the most distressing aspects of my time there was the relentless bullying and harassment. Racist and sexist comments were often made, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere for everyone. Their aggressive behavior, including shouting and telling people to "shut up," was a daily occurrence. What's even more disheartening is that these issues were not isolated incidents. In the span of just one year, five team members left the company due to the hostile environment. The breaking point came when a brave colleague reported these ongoing problems to HR. Instead of addressing the issues, HR protected the manager and even threatened the colleague who had come forward. This blatant disregard for employee well-being further exacerbated the already dire situation. Overall, my experience at Citco was marred by an unrelenting culture of toxicity, harassment, and intimidation fostered by certain individuals in positions of authority. I strongly advise anyone considering employment with this company to think twice and carefully consider the potential consequences for their mental and emotional well-being.
