Pros

- Good base salary - Comprehensive training provided, especially for people starting out their career in AML - Great colleagues and seniors who genuinely guide and support you - Well-structured company - Lots of training and opportunities to cross-support other countries - Very accessible via public transport - Reasonably flexible working arrangements - 2 WFH days weekly, plus 2 full remote weeks every biquarter - Generous leave policy, including birthday leave, pilgrimage leave, and marriage leave

Cons

- Workload can be heavy, especially since headcount isn't always backfilled when people leave - Management listens to your concerns but only occasionally does something about it - Changes around workflow can happen quickly, clearer communication around the reasoning would help - Doing well here often means being ready to put in extra hours, including some weekends - Performance is tracked closely on a daily and monthly basis, you might feel micromanaged and pressured every hours - WFH policy is strict and doesn't flex even during roadblocks or disruptions around the KLCC area, while many other companies have moved to full WFH during roadblocks Overall, it's a place where the fundamentals are strong : good pay, real structure, supportive colleagues and solid perks and if you're someone who thrives with a fast pace and high accountability, you'll do well here.

Pros

Strong global platform with exceptional exposure to complex clients, markets, and products. Citi offers significant opportunities to build an international career, work with highly talented professionals, and develop deep expertise in banking and financial services. The global network and breadth of the organization are major differentiators.

Cons

The size and complexity of the organization can create bureaucracy, fragmented decision-making, and lengthy internal processes. Organizational changes and frequent restructuring can also affect continuity, while navigating multiple stakeholders sometimes takes significant time and energy away from clients and business execution.
