Pros

I previously worked for Citizant for 6+ years and then left for 2 years. In reading a number of glassdoor.com reviews of Citizant, I see many older posts with references to a “clique” management team…basically, if you weren’t part of that team, you weren’t part of the “in crowd.” That group of people could make it very difficult and sometimes unpleasant to do your job on a daily basis. Those reviews are correct and that is one of the main reasons I left 2 years ago. I’m happy to report that the “clique” is gone! The CEO, along with her committed management team, realized the harm those people were causing to our organization and they are no longer here. When I returned a few months ago, I spent a few weeks working as a consultant and the whole place felt new again! I was thrilled when I was asked to come back fulltime. When I was here for the first 6+ years, it was by far the best job I ever had. Being back at the best job you’ve ever had is a gift and super exciting! The CEO (Alba) and executive management team care greatly about each and every employee. This company culture comes directly from Alba. It is her culture. It is her passion. It is ALL about the company, the employees and the customers that she respects, takes care of, and genuinely cares about. As for being a team member at Citizant? One of the biggest pros is that it is a growing company with a ton of potential for career advancement. The company recognizes talent, provides training and mentorship and promotes from within, whenever possible. Whoever you are, you can make a difference here, you can create a path for yourself, you can succeed.

Cons

Anyone that has ever worked for a small company knows that the hours can be long. Depending on your position in the organization, that could be true. But, depending on your role, you may have a normal 8 hour day. No question, the management team works long hours, but that is part of being a team that is trying to build and nurture a growing organization. For everyone else, just ask during your initial interviews what is expected for your role. Also, understand that many people work extra hours because they become involved in company business that builds their knowledge, expands their resume and leads them to promotions, bonuses, etc.

Pros

Good opportunities for growth and expanded responsibility. Employees who are motivated and adaptable can gain valuable experience across a variety of programs and operational areas. Advancement opportunities are available for strong performers.

Cons

Work-life balance can become challenging during busy proposal and capture periods. Tight deadlines and changing priorities may require extended hours and increased availability. Leadership does recognize employee contributions, but the pace during surge periods can be difficult to sustain long term.
