Pros

Standard Company benefits; 401k, health, dental and vision. Paid birthday PTO. 1 free pair of shoes a year. (Depending what the company will allow you to have through their internal website.) 50% off all other purchases as an employee discount.

Cons

You will never get a raise in any position. Store managers are not trained on FMLA. My fiance at the time had a miscarriage and I ended up going back to work the next day. The manager above me had no reaction when I mentioned she was bleeding and at the hospital. (Exact reaction when I was at work asking for permission to leave..."so what do you want me to do about it?") Some management doesn't reflect all managers of the company but still there are some that will be all about business needs. This company is about their shoes, and customers. I even sustained a work related injury and worked by myself for multiple hours. The company directed me to their workers insurance (Travelers), which took over a year for me to win my workers comp case and get my money back from the injury expense. They require 44-45 hour work weeks and work 3 out of 4 Saturdays a month. No, 15 minute paid breaks and one 1/2 hour unpaid lunch break. You must work every holiday; also the days prior and after the holiday. You will not get a new hire welcome aboard book to explain benefits. I went years not knowing you get paid for your birthdays. This not a job for someone who has a family...work smarter, not harder. All staff below managers get commission but not the manager. However the manager is expected to sell 20% of the store's weekly sales volume. Lastly, before I left they started closing stores and hadn't opened more than probably 5 stores in the last 4 years. (Only thing keeping them afloat on U.S. side is their internet sales.)
