Pros
They appreciate the work their employees do and make the employees feel valued. I received a lot of positive feedback, including multiple thank you notes from supervisors. Also, if you sincerely want to help others and make a difference in someone's life, this job provides the opportunity to do that and is rewarding. Also, they are open minded and less likely to discriminate on the basis of disability than most employers I've encountered. The people that work there, including the supervisors, are nice. They care about the people they serve and aren't condescending and judgmental toward them. They provide opportunity for advancement, as well as the necessary training.
Cons
They pay could be higher. Benefits such as health insurance would be helpful.
