Pros

Professionally trained colleagues (chemists, fellow PMs, Admins) are great and very dedicated.

Cons

The company is dominated by Truckers and Heavy Equipment operator types. Management (District and Regional) is horrible and practically nonexistent. On the programs I managed they would rarely used a Field Chemist to take samples at various sites but would save a buck by asking (an untrained) truck driver to collect a waste and media samples for critical for accurate waste steam profiling. This leads to bad practices and bad results, re-work, and bad feelings with customers and workers. Working there was a 12 hours per day Night Mare!

Pros

Plenty of hours between 75 to 80 hours a week minimum. Good place to get experience as a stepping stone.

Cons

You're always on call it is mandatory that you work three weekends a month both Saturday and Sunday including the 5-day work weeks Monday through Friday Technician. As a coordinator you work 6 day work weeks Sunday through Friday you only get Saturdays off it's a salary based position so you get no compensation if you work over 8 hours a day as a coordinator and you will work more than 8 hours a day your minimum will be 12 to 14 hours a day up to a maximum of 18 hours a day regularly.
