Pros

ClearEdge has some great benefits and the management team hires very good employees and program managers.

Cons

The owner doesn't show trust in the people she hires so she micromanages them and doesn't respect work/life balance. She also doesn't show appreciation to anyone but software engineers. There is a huge issue with nepotism at ClearEdge as well since the owner has numerous members of her family working for her and she regularly shows clear favoritism towards them. If the nepotism and micromanagement from the owner would stop then that would improve ClearEdge immensely. The owner would really do well to follow this model when it comes to her management style because her micromanagement has driven away so many phenomenal employees and managers over the years. With over twenty years of experience in the industry, ClearEdge’s owner strives to foster and encourage employees to grow and achieve career goals. At times, employees will face unfamiliar situations, but our CEO provides advice and guidance when it’s needed. ClearEdge does employ family, but that extends beyond ownership. Individuals refer siblings, best friends, and even spouses. No matter their relationship to another employee, everyone is held to the same standards. I can assure you that every employee is important to us, which is why we are sorry to hear that you did not feel that way during your time of employment.

Pros

- Benefits package is really good but not worth the headache

Cons

- In my experience, leadership lacked clear direction, and the company appeared to be poorly managed. - I observed multiple instances where family members of executive leadership were employed, which gave the appearance of favoritism and limited advancement opportunities for others. - There was extremely high turnover during my time at the company, with many employees leaving within short periods. I also spoke with former employees from prior years who reported similar experiences. - Communication was inconsistent, yet expectations and workloads were often unrealistic. - It often felt that employees doing the majority of the work were undervalued, while others received recognition and advancement. - The overall work environment felt toxic at times, largely due to leadership style. - In my experience, the company’s top leadership demonstrated a pattern of behavior and remarks that I perceived as discriminatory, which made the workplace feel unwelcoming for employees from diverse backgrounds.
