Pros

Smart, driven employees; rapidly growing firm provides fantastic opportunities for career advancement and personal growth; partners and managers maintain a true open-door policy; responsibilities and promotions are given to you when you are ready for them, not when you reach a certain position or tenure; emphasis on work-life balance; firm and employees truly interested in the science underlying projects; great opportunity to learn about the global healthcare and life sciences landscape; overall fairly diverse firm

Cons

Inconvenient location (in the Boston suburbs) can make for annoying commutes and limited food/entertainment options, and the office and surrounding area can start to feel claustrophobic; a lot of lip service to the importance of feedback and transparency; unnecessarily strong drinking culture, as though adhering to the tired mantra of "work hard play hard" shared by many consulting firms somehow improves the firm's relevance or performance; homogeneous senior management (where are the women??); projects can be repetitive and limited in scope to biopharmaceutical development; turnover is getting worse

Pros

- Very smart teams - Active role in narrative from day 1 - Good exits to investing / industry / med school - Can work remote 50% of time from basically anywhere

Cons

- No work life balance on diligences (weekends usually mostly protected though) - Very limited work life balance on 'normal' cases that is even less justifiable than diligences where deadline are tight--this is arguably more infuriating than first con - Pay is decent but could be better given extreme attrition at the firm
