Pros
Opportunity to take on many responsibilities early on. Supportive junior staff. Good camaraderie among cohort. Quality of exit opportunities into big pharma and buy-side finance roles significantly improving as firm grows and brand name is more out there.
Cons
Leadership team will put certain projects on back burner if they're not high rev engagements. Middle management overworked and not easily accessible. Feedback is always focused on improving things. Highlighting key strengths would help consolidate them, because if you don't know what your visible strengths are you may not consciously carry those to future projects, given you're only focused on improving identified weaknesses. High expectations for tenured As/SAs to run projects, and bars for promotion are constantly moving. Future applicants: do not take the marketing of 'fast promotions' as verbatim. That only applies to super high performers, and those people tend to be anomalies.
