Pros
Met great people there that have turned into long term connections. Good experience to move into another job and field. Sales coach was great, cared about each person on his team. potential to make good money, and good incentives are provided.
Cons
If you would have asked me 6 months ago there would be 5 stars as a rating. The thing that made Clearlink so great was the autonomy, to be allowed to sell with your own style was really attractive, and in essence as long as there was no fraudulent behavior you could get all your commissions and more. Then the sales process became more and more robotic and bland, making it almost impossible to have a personal touch. All these verbatim statements make it much more difficult to build true rapport with customers. Couple that with calls that had been taken away from the brand a couple months ago, 70% of the calls were people trying to get ahold of customer service or just pricing, making the incentive to stay there small. I had a few promises made to me that were never fulfilled and some departments within the company are completely clueless and unwilling to help. As mentioned above, i had an amazing experience with my sales coach, but that’s not always the case with other coaches. You are coached to give the customer iffy information to get that sale and then every week or so they change something on QA and then hit you with an infraction that affects your pay. And when that faulty information gets you a write up, the informer gets off free. Coaches were forced to be more hands on and to hover around their team from the out of touch upper management who claims that “nothing could ever be wrong with the calls, it’s you not trying hard enough.” Blame is always passed down to the reps and with the low volume of serviceable calls, expectations were relatively astronomical. Morale has been down greatly on the brand I sold for, and an eye popping amount of veteran agents have either quit or been fired for the most minor infraction.
