Pros
I worked for Clearwater Analytics for multiple years and enjoyed working with many of my colleagues and the work we accomplished. I also enjoyed learning a new industry. If you need a job, it's not a bad place to start and get experience.
Cons
Like it or not, Clearwater Analytics is a very bias company. The founders will compensate the least amount possible to all employees except members of the church club that they like. I've seen the company get what they need from experienced employees and then force them out or demote them to promote 'saints' from the church club. The management team is much different from when I started and now is only church club members whose professional experience is primarily from Clearwater. Hiring Bias - if you're a worker bee, you need to be smart and work hard for the minimum amount the company will pay. If you have a felony, including manslaughter, you can work here as long as you go to the founder's church. Yes, although crazy, this is very true! Compensation Bias - not only only salary but there's a subjective bonus program that I got to suffer through for years. If you are joining the company now or a current employee hoping for a promotion, please do not drink the kool aid! Growth is slowing and I agree with other posts that the founders will sell the company at some point.
