Pros

Benefits - health insurance There are some good hard working people who want to see things change.

Cons

Organization lacks sophistication in decision making, has dismal employee development programs and is not open to new ideas. There are too many chiefs bossing around and throwing weight around for no reason. Titles don't go with salaries and titles don't mean much. Like any other healthcare organization there is growing discontent among physicians and management, each think the other is lazy/incompetent or building turf. Not a place for someone who is driven and has a natural disposition to learn/grow. Because employees work in same position for decades, people are resistant to change, see younger talent as threat and don't care about improvement. All the senior management cares about is growing their turf and protecting it, even if it reflects on poor performance. If you are lazy or incompetent or aspire to be a sloth or if you were a high school cheer leader, you will still have a job. I can't imagine working with some of the people here, physicians might be brilliant but the staff clearly lacks any sort of sophistication. Still a not-for-profit at the end of the day. Explain what is NPV or IRR or DCF or simple profitability concepts.

Pros

Health insurance and maternity benefits are great, though some people have been aggravated by the addition of a deductible in 2026. There is also decent tuition reimbursement, but you need to carefully read all of the policies as the wording can be tricky and even HR doesn't understand all of their own policies.

Cons

Pay seems inconsistent and raises are a joke, getting lower and later every year. PTO is decent but keep in mind that getting paid for holidays comes from that PTO and plan accordingly. HR is a complete JOKE! They never answer, don't seem to understand any of their policies, and have no idea what they are doing. It takes weeks to get ahold of anyone, and they are the farthest from helpful I've ever experienced. Retirement matching is based on years of service, they will put the money in the account but only vest after 3 years so don't count on the amount it shows unless you know 100% for sure you will be there more than 3 years.
