Pros

Overall a great place to work. Health benefits are some of the best although over the last few years keeps getting more expensive. Probably still better than most other places. Meet and interact with some very bright people...love working with most of my colleagues! Advancement opportunties are very dependent on the Dept. in which you work. I have seen fellow employees climb the ranks pretty quickly while other employees stagnate and only advance by switching Dept. or leaving entirely.

Cons

Costs of working here keep increasing at a greater rate than increases in compensation. Salaries have been pretty stagnate for the last 5 or so years despite our being told the Clinic is sound financially. Seems like more an more of my paycheck is being eaten up by costs of being an employee. Parking rates keep increasing while parking location gets worse. Cost of health benefits keep increasing with coverage being downsized! Cost of eating on campus has gotten more expensive than eating at a moderately priced establishments off campus yet the quality of the food has gotten really poor. Unfortunately we are a captive customer base since we don't have time to eat elsewhere.

Pros

Health insurance and maternity benefits are great, though some people have been aggravated by the addition of a deductible in 2026. There is also decent tuition reimbursement, but you need to carefully read all of the policies as the wording can be tricky and even HR doesn't understand all of their own policies.

Cons

Pay seems inconsistent and raises are a joke, getting lower and later every year. PTO is decent but keep in mind that getting paid for holidays comes from that PTO and plan accordingly. HR is a complete JOKE! They never answer, don't seem to understand any of their policies, and have no idea what they are doing. It takes weeks to get ahold of anyone, and they are the farthest from helpful I've ever experienced. Retirement matching is based on years of service, they will put the money in the account but only vest after 3 years so don't count on the amount it shows unless you know 100% for sure you will be there more than 3 years.
