Pros

Easy job to get because of high turnover. Fair compensation, perks of competitions/free snacks. Clean environment.

Cons

By it's very nature, sales can lead to high turnover. However if you do a check on the internet for customer service of this division of Mingle LLC, it is rated as one of the absolute worst companies ever. The reason so many people hate Climber.com is because it effectively tricks customers into buying, and then making it difficult to get out of their memberships. The staff then feel like something is wrong and go to work hating feeling like they are a part of dirty company. I'm surprised they haven't been looked into yet by the FCC or other government agencies. You know those TV shows about crooked companies? Their 'dialer' program repeatedly calls people on their "Do Not Call" list. I know because I'd be automatically connected to random people who would tell me they had already paid for service, eventually cancelled after months of getting no help, asked to be never contacted again, and I'd end up with them anyway! They have a 'formula' of a sales call, and they don't want you wasting time because it is sales. If you sense the person on the other line isn't easy prey or it will take multiple callbacks, go away... get the Credit Card info in less than ten minutes or move on. They aren't really looking to "help" people. They are looking to make money. I could tell you stories of what I've heard about people rocking the boat, or of humiliation of employees, or of others who had quit and then had their departure letter used to ferret out other disgruntled employees. But I was never around for any of that, but the hearsay alone should make you wonder before you work here. Ultimately, I wouldn't be surprised if Mike and Nick plan soon to sell Climber.com off. If you look into his history, Mike O'Brien has a history of starting successful businesses and selling them.

Pros

I'm not a morning person by nature, and I own a few broken alarm clocks to prove it. But in spite of that fact, I have woken up every morning since I started at Climber actually looking forward to going into the office. I'll be celebrating my one-year anniversary with this company in exactly one week, and my enthusiasm for, and my pride in this company are stronger than ever. The people here are absolutely incredible, and from the ground up, the company is a true reflection of the businessmen who founded it. Mike O'Brien and Nick Jimenez, the CEO and COO respectively, are both profoundly intelligent, ethical professionals who value their employees and take the time to get to know their team as well as they know their business. As bosses, they encourage a fun work environment along with a sense of responsibility among the people they employ. Not ones to micromanage, they expect the same level of respect in return but maintain a great open-door policy that makes it easy to come to them with concerns and ideas.

Cons

As a truly happy employee, coming up with a list of cons is much harder for me. When I first came on board, the way the office was set up was not always conducive to meeting and interacting with people in other departments. However, we recently acquired a new, larger space, which resolves that issue and allows for further growth in the company.
