Pros

If you're new to industry or you're seeking a career change, this is a great place to be. You learn and grow a lot at the beginning with your specialty and with business process. If you're a fan of full-time in office work with a fish-bowl style setting, this is a great place to be as well. The non-management people were great to work with. Very smart in different ways, different experiences, and willing to help you out.

Cons

If you didn't have issues with the company, good on you, but there are many who did. This reviewer is one of them. It was difficult to get any productive time in at your own desk. It's preferred have to be in the conference rooms because there's usually a lot of background noise with the pool table and coffee conversations in a small office. There's a lot of peer-pressure to do non-work activities beyond your own comfort zone to the point where you're quietly shunned by management if you don't participate. There was also very little regard for the health of employees, who would travel and come into the office with COVID and during the high-transmission levels of the pandemic. Very high turnover, not including the recent layoffs. This is to be expected because they will train people, but they have no incentive to keep them (can't even provide something as basic as providing low-mid level market pay). For example, the app-builder certification that they had nearly everyone get has a average earning of $97,000+. Most of the pay within the company is way below this base. Even the benefits are sub-par at best. If you have previous experience but you weren't seen as "useful and able to exploit," they will casually forget what experience you have and just ignore you, but try to make up for it by saying they didn't know. In general, management was very skittish about certain people leaving, sometimes forcing people to leave before their 2 weeks is up or forcing them to work until the absolute last minute without having knowledge transfer occurring. They were also very stubborn about change and accommodating different types of productivity, thinking the only way a team can collaborate is in person, in an office. Work from home became frowned upon and anti-collaborative, mostly because they cannot micro-manage you as much if you're remote. They use the same software they sell to track every minute of your work life and criticize you and your team for not putting in enough hours. Management is also more than willing to throw you under the bus and blame you in front of stakeholders if something doesn't go their way. The toxicity of the culture is more apparent when they refer to company as a "family" and having to dedicate more of your life towards the company, not only through work but with different activities, and kind-of ridiculous fitness and health challenges that disregard employee health. Lots of experience gained and lessons learned that this reviewer will take with them moving forward. The hope is that this review will provide some additional insight to the company if you're considering a position, or if you have the ability, to change the practices.

Cloud Coach Response
3y
Thank you for taking the time to review your experience at Cloud Coach. Typically, we do not respond to Glassdoor reviews because it is our intention that employees feel free to share their experiences, good or bad, and we want to encourage that, knowing it is better to have as much information as possible in order to improve. In this case, I feel it is necessary to respond as this review presents a great deal of false information, most importantly regarding the health and wellness of our employees. Cloud Coach has, and will always strictly follow CDC guidelines regarding Covid. We prioritize (rather than disregard) the health and wellness of our employees, even offering a monthly expense reimbursement for them to invest in their health in any manner they choose (i.e. gym membership, new eyeglasses, vitamins, etc). All company activities are 100% voluntary, and employees are always free to decline when not interested in participating. Although I believe the information regarding working conditions is objectively skewed, it is not productive to argue with an individual's subjective experience. I would encourage the writer to reach out to us directly as we are always open to constructive feedback! Sincerely, Heather Cooper CEO

Pros

Cloud Coach is an amazing organization. Although they are small, they are very competitive in their industry. They compete with the biggest names in their field, and win due to their consultative approach, and truly have constructed the most scalable framework for post sales orgs needing a SF native PM and or PSA. They truly take customer feedback into roadmap considerations, and keep their accounts healthy, and happy.

Cons

I can't say I have a bad thing to say about the company. If you are coming from a massive (20k+ emp) organization, I would be aware of the inherent challenges of working for a small versus big company, but Cloud Coach has a great culture and product that's easy to get behind.

Pros

Autonomy and freedom to do your job most of the time, depending on your position

Cons

Low salary compared to similar companies, lost management and lack of vision. Keep in mind the reviews below were before the company was purchased by a Capital firm, the CEO was replaced, and then about 80% of the company turned over after that and were filled with the CEO's friends and former colleagues.
