Pros
- Company mission - Nice office - Tackling important, challenging problems
Cons
- Extremely toxic leadership culture which comes from the top. Very disheartening to see people who show up in public spaces with toxic and rude attitudes getting rewarded with promotions instead of being coached on how to be a better leaders. - High burnout and turnover as a result. Engineers working on the Developer Platform are driven into the ground. When they finally leave because they've had enough, leadership acknowledges it as "they just couldn't hack it here," instead of realizing their expectations are ridiculous. - Volatile, reactive development culture. Seems to be an obsession with reading what people say about the company on Twitter and then using that as the metric for what should be developed next. - Taking a little time to plan so that everything scales isn't valued. (See point above.) It's all "I don't care. Fix it by tomorrow." - Very few women in higher up, leadership positions.
