Pros

The company has some really smart people. I truly enjoyed my team members and stakeholders. Great pay and awesome industry to be in.

Cons

Cloudflare’s biggest problem is hiring leaders that don’t know how to build culture and lead people. They are very smart but lack empathy and basic people leadership skills and It has killed the culture and moral. If you can report under the right leader it can be a good place to work but that wasn’t my experience. Lots of bad talking team members behind their backs. You are either viewed as incompetent and treated as such or a top performer and so overloaded with work you can’t breathe. Very little trust leading to heavy micromanagement, even with top performers. One new leader is seeing these issues and trying to improve culture but it’s a massive uphill battle. Benefits are lean and no 401k match

Pros

- Strong platform - Mostly friendly and smart people - Good salary, but substandard benefits

Cons

- Strong culture of favoritism: if you’re not an OG or coming in from Palo Alto, you’ll face an uphill battle in sales. - Sales culture is terribly toxic, political, and cliquey, especially with the Palo Alto Networks invasion. - Ridiculous internal processes and poorly designed tools (still use more spreadsheets than tools, quotes can take weeks and I’m not kidding) - Zero sales tools (No Outreach, Gong, good luck even getting Zoom Info) - Substandard BDR team with 12:1 ratios of BDR to AE. Got zero set meetings in over 1 year with our team’s BDR.
