Pros

100% remote as an AE, but this ends up being more of a curse.

Cons

Where to begin, starts from the top with Matthew Prince openly denouncing the sales org at every opportunity. His response to the viral Tik-Tok layoff showed how insecure this man-child truly is. Middle management is enabled to abuse their employees, and are protected by their long-time friends in leadership. Managers constantly screaming on meetings, no direction whatsoever, no plan to dig the company out of the hole its put itself in. There is no set pricing to work from as a base to discount, everything is made up for every single deal, it's the most slimy way to sell I've ever seen in tech. Onboarding and enablement are not only useless, they also force meeting after meeting where nothing is learned and nothing is gained, just lost time you desperately need for the few deals you have a chance at. The toxicity radiating throughout the entire organization is felt by everyone, there is no synergy between internal teams, and it becomes a fight to attain any support b/c of how inefficiently this dumpster fire is being ran. If you're thinking of applying, or have gotten reached out to by a recruiter selling you a dream, RUN. RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN.

Pros

- Strong platform - Mostly friendly and smart people - Good salary, but substandard benefits

Cons

- Strong culture of favoritism: if you’re not an OG or coming in from Palo Alto, you’ll face an uphill battle in sales. - Sales culture is terribly toxic, political, and cliquey, especially with the Palo Alto Networks invasion. - Ridiculous internal processes and poorly designed tools (still use more spreadsheets than tools, quotes can take weeks and I’m not kidding) - Zero sales tools (No Outreach, Gong, good luck even getting Zoom Info) - Substandard BDR team with 12:1 ratios of BDR to AE. Got zero set meetings in over 1 year with our team’s BDR.
