Pros

Total comp is pretty good, even if the health benefits are garbage, and no 401k matching.

Cons

Sales org is an absolute train wreck, always has been, and always will. The new regime from Palo Alto Networks are all idiots and sycophants and are actively forcing their management techniques onto the culture, with lots of friction and general carnage. Sales reps are being setup for failure with management pulling them out of training to begin working with customers, even as early as two weeks into the job. As a result, they are dropped into the fray with inadequate training, and becoming overly reliant on their SEs as they navigate the quagmire of Salesforce. Tech stack and product portfolio are very jenga-tower-esque. Too many products, many overlap and conflict with each other, and it's always a great time when trying to give a customer demo and the dashboard breaks hard. Matthew and Michelle are fully divorced from reality and their wealth has rendered them into ghoulish cheerleaders. They will never achieve the same level of success doing anything else in their lives, and so they will probably never leave, although the company would have benefited if they left after IPO. No shame in taking the money and running.

Pros

- Strong platform - Mostly friendly and smart people - Good salary, but substandard benefits

Cons

- Strong culture of favoritism: if you’re not an OG or coming in from Palo Alto, you’ll face an uphill battle in sales. - Sales culture is terribly toxic, political, and cliquey, especially with the Palo Alto Networks invasion. - Ridiculous internal processes and poorly designed tools (still use more spreadsheets than tools, quotes can take weeks and I’m not kidding) - Zero sales tools (No Outreach, Gong, good luck even getting Zoom Info) - Substandard BDR team with 12:1 ratios of BDR to AE. Got zero set meetings in over 1 year with our team’s BDR.
