Pros

Clustrix is in its adolescence, having a shipping product for over a year and many satisfied customers. Almost all customers are willing to be reference customers. You work with lots of smart people working on real-world problems that will remind you of your computer science classes in college. Great team work, no politics.

Cons

As with almost every company I've worked with, can't hire enough people to do all the work in front of us.

Pros

Competitive pay, relaxed but focused work environment. Working on the product has been very rewarding and educational. Engineering is filled with incredibly smart people, and working with them has been awesome.

Cons

The fact that engineering is split between Seattle and San Jose offers some challenges, but isn't too problematic. The complexity of the product and small team provides a lot of, "Ugh, how will I ever figure this out," moments, but that (hopefully) gives way to the pleasure of solving really difficult problems.
